HALLOWEEN KILLS trailer: Michael Myers is back in the brutal first look at David Gordon Green’s sequel

Michael Myers is back to his stabby ways in the brutal first trailer for Halloween Kills, the sequel to David Gordon Green’s 2018 hit Halloween. Based on John Carpenter and Debra Hill’s 1978 blockbuster, Green’s Halloween (written by Green, Jeff Fradley, and Danny McBride) eschewed the complicated backstory from the numerous sequels and went back to the basics of what made the initial film so memorable and iconic.

Taking place immediately after the fiery ending of the last film, Halloween Kills sees Michael Myers return from the burning house Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) and her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) left him in at the conclusion of the last film, and he gets to the killing business right off the bat.

Read the synopsis for Halloween Kills below.

Minutes after Laurie Strode (Curtis), her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) left masked monster Michael Myers caged and burning in Laurie’s basement, Laurie is rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, believing she finally killed her lifelong tormentor.

But when Michael manages to free himself from Laurie’s trap, his ritual bloodbath resumes. As Laurie fights her pain and prepares to defend herself against him, she inspires all of Haddonfield to rise up against their unstoppable monster.

The Strode women join a group of other survivors of Michael’s first rampage who decide to take matters into their own hands, forming a vigilante mob that sets out to hunt Michael down, once and for all.

Evil dies tonight.
