Montreal’s Lost Love is back. Three years after the release of their last LP, Good Luck Rassco, the Montreal punk quartet has shared the new single “Hell,” off their upcoming Empathy LP.

“Hell” marks a return of sorts to Lost Love’s earlier pop-punk-influenced sound, with catchy guitar lines and massive group background vocals that will make you long for sweaty crowd sing-alongs.

Lost Love frontman Guilhem Benard had the following to say about the track:

“I feel like I never have the absolute solution. It’s becoming frustrating to see people arguing about the source of a problem instead of working together to find the solutions. HELL, it’s also an analogy; if hell exists, it’s probably what we’re living in right now. When we die, it won’t be any worse than it already is.”

The accompanying video was shot at Montreal’s beloved punk venue Turbo Haüs. Check out the clip below.

Empathy was produced by Marc-André Beaudet (The Sainte Catherines, Blurry Eyes) and is due this fall via Fantasio Club.
