Watch: Montreal’s Dirty Cheetah pay homage to John Carpenter’s They Live with new video “Robot”

Montreal punks Dirty Cheetah have shared the video for “Robot,” a homage to John Carpenter’s cult classic They Live.

Over the Ramones-inspired singalong, the video features the band’s vocalist/guitarist Pat Panic discovering a pair of sunglasses that decipher the hidden messages being used to indoctrinate and subdue society.

Shot in Montreal’s Mile End and the Plateau, the video is a perfect little sci-fi odyssey that doesn’t even eclipse the 3-minute mark.

Check out the video below.

Dirty Cheetah’s debut, Never Too Late, is available now through Resurrection Records (US) and No Front Teeth (UK).

John Carpenter’s They Live is getting a lavish box-set treatment from Shout Factory/Sacred Bones in 2021, featuring a 4K UHD disc and a 7″. You can pre-order the package here.
