Just for Laughs adds the How Did This Get Made? podcast, Nick Kroll, Fred Armisen, Wanda Sykes, Michael Rapaport, Margaret Trudeau (!) and more

After the reveal of the Gala hosts a few weeks back, Just for Laughs has just unveiled the bulk of their programming for the 2019 edition of the Montreal festival.

Highlights include the first ever Montreal taping of the wildly popular How Did This Get Made? podcast, a Wanda Sykes Gala, a Nick Kroll solo show, Fred Armisen’s Comedy for Musicians but Everyone is Welcome show, a taping of Michael Rapaport’s I Am Rapaport podcast, Margaret Trudeau’s Certain Woman Of An Age show, and much more.

The Wanda Sykes Gala takes place on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 7:00pm, at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier at Place des Arts.

NBA star Blake Griffin returns to the festival to curate the Comedy By Blake show, Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 7:00pm at L’Olympia.

Fred Armisen’s Comedy For Musicians but Everyone is Welcome is set for Saturday, July 27, 2019, at 7:00pm at L’Olympia.

Nick Kroll will bring his solo stand-up show to the festival on Thursday, July 25, 2019, at 9:30pm at L’Olympia.

Jackass star Steve-O will bring his Bucket List Tour to town on Montreal on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 9:30pm at L’Olympia.

The How Did This Get Made? podcast (featuring Paul Scheer, June Diane Raphael, and Jason Mantzoukas) will make its festival debut on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 9:30pm at L’Olympia.

Canadian icon Margaret Trudeau will bring her Certain Woman of an Age conversation show to to the festival for a 3-night run from Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 7:00pm, Friday, July 26, 2019 at 9:30pm, and Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 9:30pm at Gesù.

Second City Toronto’s She The People show will take over the Centaur Theatre from Monday, July 22, 2019 to Thursday July 25, 2019 at 9:30pm, and on Friday July 26, 2019 and Saturday July 27. 2019 at 7:00pm, and 10:00pm.



Jeff Ross returns to the festival with his Roastmaster’s Invitational, a 4-night event from Wednesday, July 24, 2019 to Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 11:59pm at Club Soda.

The Daily Show’s Ronny Chieng will perform his Tone Issues show from Tuesday, July 23, 2019 to Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 9:30pm at Gesù.

Shaun Majumder will bring his new HATE tour to Montreal on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 7:00pm at Cinquième Salle at Place des Arts.

Bryan Callen (The Goldbergs) will be perform on Friday, July 26, 2019, at 7:00pm in Cinquième Salle at Place des Arts

Comedy Night in Canada will take place on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 7:00pm at Club Soda. Stay tuned for the lineup.

Pete Holmes & Friends will descend on Club Soda on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 7:00pm.

Black Thought (of The Roots) will bring his Delirious show to town on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 9:30pm at Club Soda.

The Ethnic Show returns with festival faves Cristela Alonzo, Gina Yashere and Dave Merheje, alongside new additions Anthony DeVito, and Rafinha “Rafi” Bastos, from Wednesday, July 10, 2019 to Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Club Soda and MTELUS.

The Nasty show lands Bobby Lee as host, alongside Big Jay Oakerson, Andrew Schulz, Jessimae Peluso, and Bonnie McFarlane, from Wednesday, July 17, 2019 to Saturday, July 27, 2019 at MTELUS.

The Brit(ish) show returns with host Jimmy Carr and special guest Sarah Millican and Jamali Maddix, Mawaan Rizwan, and British musical comedy duo, Flo & Joan, Friday, July 26, 2019 and Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 7:00pm at MTELUS.

The Live from L’Astral series will feature Canadian comics Aisha Brown and Graham Kay taping specials for Crave TV, on July 22, 2019 and Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 7:00pm and 9:00pm at L’Astral.

The Stand-Up Show with Jon Dore, presented by The Comedy Network, will take place Thursday, July 25, 2019 through Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 7:00pm and 10:00pm at L’Astral.

OFF-JFL, often the most exciting (and cheapest) options at the festival, returns strong with Cameron Esposito, Sasheer Zamata, Dan Soder, Mark Watson, Adam Conover, Mark Forward, the Lucas Brothers, Nicole Byer, Ron Funches, Pete Correale, Kurt Braunohler, Nish Kumar, Emma Willmann & Matteo Lane, and Beth Stelling.

Best of the Fest, Fest at the Nest, Hosts with the Most, Midnight Surprise and The Alternative Show hosted by Andy Kindler are all returning as well.

Get ready podcast fans: Michael Rapaport’s I am Rapaport: Stereo Podcast, Pete Holmes’ You Made it Weird with Pete Holmes, Rayna Greenberg and Ashley Hesseltine’s Girls Gotta Eat, Nicole Byer’s Why Won’t You Date Me?
