X Ambassadors
Olympia Theatre
November 29, 2015
What a difference the right commercial makes. Just three years ago, Ithaca, New York’s X Ambassadors were playing the relatively tiny confines of Divan Orange to a few dozen patrons. After the release of their debut full-length, VHS, earlier this year, and riding on the massive success of their “Renegades” single (and its subsequent Jeep commercial), the band performed to a sold-out crowd of 2,500 fans at the cavernous Olympia Theatre last night.
The show marked the band’s biggest headlining gig ever – a great way to close out their current tour, and solid preparation for their upcoming arena tour supporting Muse, which includes a pair of shows at Centre Bell on January 20 and 21, 2016.
