UK’s The Struts wear their influences on their sleeves (Queen, AC/DC, The Rolling Stones), and that rock showmanship was on full display during their Montreal debut at Théâtre Fairmount last Saturday night.

The band’s anthemic power rock owes much of its strength to vocalist Luke Spiller’s Freddy Mercury-like vocals, and like Mercury, Spiller is also a consummate showman – singing in the middle of the crowd, and instructing them to dance and sing-along like he was addressing a sold-out crowd at Wembley Stadium.

Below you can check out photos from the night, including local openers John Jacob Magistery, courtesy of Vitor Munhoz. For all upcoming tour dates visit facebook.com/thestruts.
