Video Premiere: Colonel Sun’s Scott Cook premiers the Bowiesque solo track “No Bones”

 

Colonel Sun vocalist Scott Cook is set to launch a solo EP titled Topics this fall, and we’re debuting the video for his first single, “No Bones,” below. While Montreal’s Colonel Sun traffic in riff-heavy post-hardcore, “No Bones” is a powerful Bowiesque rock number complete with a mournful piano track by Paul Shrofel.

According to Cook, “No Bones” deals with “self-pity and a cry for attention. Though the main character is suffering, he is refusing any help from the outside world. Nonetheless, the character wants everyone to know about his struggles as a way of gaining their attention.”
