Kevin Hart returns to Montreal’s Just for Laughs July 29 at Centre Bell

After two years of mostly virtual lineups due to the pandemic, Just for Laughs is roaring back for its 40th-anniversary this summer with news that comedy superstar Kevin Hart will headline the Centre Bell on July 29.

Hart has a long history with the Montreal festival; he last headlined a sold-out show at Centre Bell back in 2018, and later workshopped new material at intimate venues during the 2019 edition, including a run at Théâtre Sainte-Catherine. Hart has also showcased comedians from his own LOL Network at Just for Laughs, while also hosting auditions to discover new talent at the festival.

“I am hype as shit to go back out on Tour,” Hart said in a statement. “There is nothing better than making people laugh, I can feel the energy in the venues like caffeine pumping through my veins. I’ve been cooking up something special and have thoughts I need to get off my chest. Go get your tickets and come ready to have a good night!”

“Kevin Hart’s first Just For Laughs festival experience was back in 2001 when he was one of our breakout comics on our coveted New Faces,” added Just For Laughs President Bruce Hills. “Over the last two decades, Kevin has chosen to return to JFL numerous times for various ventures; from shooting over 100 episodes of stand-up content from the festival, LOL shorts, to pitch sessions, and podcast recordings, to accepting The Generation Award at the 2019 Just For Laughs Awards, and of course to selling out countless stand-up shows in our arenas and concert venues. It is only fitting that he returns to JFL this summer as part of our 40th-anniversary celebrations.”

Tickets for Kevin Hart’s Centre Bell show go on-sale Friday, February 18th at 10:00 am via the official Just for Laughs site. You can also do a double bill and catch Bill Burr at Centre Bell the next night (July 30); tickets for that show are available here.

Stay tuned for more Just for Laughs announcements in the coming weeks.
