November 2 - Fiddlehead at 185 Avenue Van Horne
Formed from the ashes of Boston hardcore band Have Heart, Fiddlehead take a more introspective approach, with a sound that touches back to the late 90's when bands like Hot Water Music began mixing emo with full-throttle punk. Montreal shoegaze disciples Mundy's Bay open, along with Weird Star and Wax. 9:30 pm, $12.

November 2 - Yaeji at Corona Theatre
There's no doubt that Yaeji exists in her own world - the quirky (watch the "Feel It Out" video below) Korean-American performer raps in both Korean and English, over a soundtrack that ranges from laid-back hip hop to pulsing house music. Yaeji first gained traction through her affiliation with the 88Rising label, but it's clear she's on her own upwards trajectory now. 8:00 pm, $27.

November 3 - Pond at Sala Rossa
With a lineup that has included a number of members of Tame Impala over the years, Australian psych-rockers Pond tread in the same LSD-soaked waters as Tame Impala, but with a looser, more experimental bent. They make their way to these shores in support of 2017's The Weather, with support from Juan Wauters. 9:00 pm, $20.

November 4 - Windhand at Belmont
On a night with plenty of solid options, Black Sabbath devotees should immediately head to Belmont for the psychedelic sludge leanings of Virginia's Windhand, touring in support of their great new LP, Eternal Return. Fellow Virginians Satan's Satyrs open. 9:00 pm, $20.

November 4 - Fucked Up at Sala Rossa
Toronto's Fucked Up have long demonstrated a willingness to expand the limits of their initial straight-forward punk sound, and their latest, Dose Your Dreams, is another sizeable sonic shift. Switching up genres on nearly every track, and with a huge cast of guest vocalists including Dinosaur Jr.'s J. Mascis and Jennifer Castle, it's a thrilling encapsulation of the band's diverse influences, and one of the most exciting releases of the year. Here's hoping they can pull it off live. Mil Spec opens. 9:00 pm, $20.

November 5 - British Lion at Corona Theatre
Taking a breather from his six string duties in Iron Maiden, guitarist Steve Harris is currently out on the road with his side project British Lion, performing at the sort of intimate venues Maiden likely haven't played in a good four decades. Canadian 80's rockers Coney Hatch open. 8:00 pm, $35.

November 7 - Ron Gallo at Le Ministère
Philly's Ron Gallo blends together elements of garage rock, noisy art rock and angular post-punk for a refreshing style that wouldn't have been out a place on a mid-70's CBGB's bill, without ever sounding dated. Ian Ferguson and Twen open. 8:00 pm, $16.

November 8 - Jazz Cartier at Le Belmont
A tough ones for hip hop fans tonight, with Toronto's Jazz Cartier and Atlanta's 6lack each playing their own headline shows across town. Based on Cartier's instantly viral roof dive during his last Montreal show, this will probably be the more raucous of the two shows. Cartier is touring behind his first official LP, Fleurever, following a handful of singles and mix-tapes. 8:00 pm, $28.

November 8 - 6LACK at Olympia
Atlanta rapper 6lack shows that indie rock doesn't have a stranglehold on moody, introspective songs based on failed relationships. Best known for his smash single "Prblms," 6lack is currently out on tour in support of his sophomore LP, East Atlanta Love Letter. Summer Walker opens. 8:00 pm, $40.
