Just for Laughs adds a slew of panels (including Jim Carrey), podcasts and solo shows

Just for Laughs has just revealed a number of additions to this summer’s lineup, including a slew of panels, live podcast tapings and solo shows. Check out today’s announcements below.

I’m Dying Up Here on Showtime: A Night with Cast & Creators

Jim Carrey will make a rare festival appearance to participate in a panel for I’m Dying Up Here, the upcoming Showtime TV series partially based on his experiences coming up as a stand-up in L.A. Carrey, who serves as an Executive Producer for the show,  will be joined by his co-Executive Producer Michael Aguilar, along with the cast, including Ari Graynor, Al Madrigal, Erik Griffin, Andrew Santino, RJ Cyler, and Clark Duke. Thursday, July 27 at 9:30 p.m. at Maison Symphonique at Place des Arts.

Fox Presents The Mick

Star Kaitlin Olson and show creators Dave and John Chernin will dish on what they have in mind for season 2 for Fox’s hit comedy show. Saturday, July 29 at 1:30 p.m. in the Grand Salon Opera, Level 4, Hyatt Regency Montreal.

Club Shows

Former Daily Show correspondent Wyatt Cenac has been tapped to host two All Access live tapings at Club Soda, with different lineups on each. We spoke with Wyatt Cenac for our podcast before his last Just for Laughs appearance – check out the interview hereSaturday July 29, at 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. at Club Soda.

Al Madrigal, another Daily Show alum, returns to Just for Laughs for a solo show, Friday, July 28, at 9:30 p.m. at L’Astral.

Aussie fave Carl Barron, is set to storm Montreal  for a solo show, Wednesday, July 26 at 7:00 p.m. at Le Gesù.

OFF-JFL

The great Lil Rel Howery (Get Out) will host Lil Rel Howery and Friends, Wednesday, July 26, at 8:30 p.m., Thursday, July 27, at 10:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 29 at 10:00 p.m. at Katacombes.

Eugene Mirman returns with his Hold On conversational series (with guests), Thursday, July 27 and Friday, July 28 at 11:30 p.m. at La Chapelle.

JFL fave Ryan Hamilton returns Monday, July 24 – Saturday, July 29,  8:30 p.m. nightly at Salle Claude Léveillée at Place des Arts.

David Baddiel presents the North American debut of his one-man show, David Baddiel My Family: Not The Sitcom for 10 performances at JFL, Thursday, July 20 – Sunday, July 23, at 7:00 p.m. at Theatre Sainte-Catherine; and from Monday, July 24 – Saturday, July 29 at 6:30 p.m. at La Chapelle.

Podcast Tapings

Guys We F@#ked: The Anti Slut-Shaming Podcast returns to JFL for a taping Friday, July 28 at 5:15 p.m. in the Inspiration Room, Level 6, Hyatt Regency Montreal.

The popular horror podcast Last Podcast on the Left makes its festival debut with a pair of tapings, Thursday, July 27 at 3:00 p.m. and Friday, July 28 at 3:00 p.m. in the Ovation Room, Level 5, Hyatt Regency Montreal.

Comic great Robert Kelly’s YOU KNOW WHAT DUDE! podcast settles down for a taping Friday, July 28 at 1:30 p.m. in the Ovation Room, Level 5, Hyatt Regency Montreal.

Vulture’s Good One: A Podcast About Jokeswill dissect the business of funny on Thursday, July 27 at 1:30 p.m. in the Ovation Room, Level 5, Hyatt Regency Montreal.

Stuart Goldsmith’s The Comedian’s Comedian podcast always lands incredible guests (Patton Oswalt was his guest during a JFL taping a couple of years back), so mark your calendars for this one – Saturday, July 29 at 1:30 p.m. in the Ovation Room, Level 5, Hyatt Regency Montreal.
