Update: Danzig is re-joining the Misfits for Riot Fest

Riot Fest is set to reveal the lineups for their Denver (September 2-4) and Chicago (September 16-18) editions tomorrow morning (RIP Toronto Riot Fest), and have just posted a mysterious Misfits-related video in conjunction with that announcement. Watch it below.

The static-filled screen eventually briefly flashes the Misfits logo, which could mean a couple of things:

1. The regular Jerry Only-led Misfits are playing the classic Misfits LP Static Age in its entirety, which would be laughably uneventful, or
2. DANZIG is rejoining the Misfits for these two Riot Fest shows!

As far-fetched as the latter might seem, don’t forget that Riot Fest somehow finagled The Replacements to get back together in 2013, a feat even the mighty Coachella couldn’t tackle. The festival also has a working relationship with Danzig, with his post-Misfits project Samhain performing at last year’s edition.
