Pixar has just unveiled a sneak peek at their upcoming animated feature Soul, due in theatres on November 22nd, 2020. The preview was put together as part of a virtual panel for the Essence Festival of Culture.
Soul features the voice of Jamie Foxx as Joe Gardner, a band schoolteacher who accidentally ends up in The Great Before, a “fantastical place where new souls get their personalities, quirks and interests before they go to Earth.” He teams up with 22 (voiced by Tina Fey) to try to get back to his regular life, while undoubtedly exchanging some heart-rendering notions with his new young protege.
Check out the Soul sneak peek and panel from the Essence Festival of Culture below. Soul will begin wringing out your tears on November 22.
