Montreal’s Colonel Sun may be a relatively new band, but they sure have some pedigree. Made up of Scott Cook, Mishka Stein and Robbie Kuster (Patrick Watson), and Simon Angell (Thus Owls), Colonel Sun reach back to the 90s for a heavy, dirty sound reminiscent of killer acts like The Melvins, Helmet, and Unsane.
We’re debuting the band’s new video for “Dirtbag” in this post, the second single from the band’s upcoming EP on Stand Records, out October 4.
According to Cook, the track “is inspired by those people whose actions force us to shake our heads. The video features three such dirtbags, scuffling over that last drop of drink.”
