UPDATE: According to numerous reports, Petty has passed away.
According to a report in TMZ, Tom Petty was rushed to hospital last night after suffering from full cardiac arrest, and has since been taken off life support. In a recent update, the site claims that sources confirmed Petty had no brain function today, and the decision was made to take him off life support. There has been no confirmation from the Petty camp yet.
