Get ready to chow down on more tossed salads and scrambled eggs — Dr. Frasier Crane is coming back.
Kelsey Grammer will reprise his iconic role as the radio talk psychiatrist for a Frasier reboot on the upcoming Paramount+ streaming service, Deadline reports.
“Having spent over 20 years of my creative life on the Paramount lot, both producing shows and performing in several, I’d like to congratulate Paramount+ on its entry into the streaming world,” says Grammer. “I gleefully anticipate sharing the next chapter in the continuing journey of Dr. Frasier Crane.”
Frasier spun off from the character’s role on Cheers and went on to run for 11 seasons on NBC, from 1993 to 2004. Alongside Grammer, the show also starred David Hyde Pierce, Jane Leeves, Peri Gilpin, and John Mahoney.
No release date for the show has been announced yet. Stay tuned for further details on the reboot and Paramount+.
