The FME festival returns to Rouyn-Noranda this September for a special COVID-19 edition

Bleu Jeans Bleu will play this year’s FME Festival in Rouyn-Noranda.

Rouyn-Noranda’s FME festival is back this September, but it’s going to look very different this year.

The long-running Northern Quebec festival announced the lineup for this year’s edition today, which includes Bleu Jeans Bleu, Corridor, Backxwash, les Deuxluxes, Lary Kidd, KNLO, We Are Wolves, and many more. Unlike previous years, this year’s edition won’t work on a pass system; fans will have to buy tickets to each event, and spots will be very limited in order to enforce social distancing regulations.

Given that the U.S. border is still closed, this year’s lineup is focused on Quebec acts, with an emphasis on those who were hit hardest by the COVID-19 outbreak.

The majority of the shows will take place outdoors, including alongside the scenic Osisko Lake and even at the Noranda Golf Club. All events will have a maximum capacity of 250 people, per the Quebec government’s latest ruling on large gatherings.

FME runs from September 3-5. Check out the full schedule here. Tickets for all events go on-sale on August 13th at 11:30 am.
