The Cult with Red Mass
MTelus
June 1, 2019
British rockers The Cult are currently out on the road celebrating the 30th anniversary of their landmark Sonic Temple album, which included a sold-out stop at Montreal’s MTelus on June 1.
1989’s Sonic Temple was a huge record for the band, with Bob Rock’s massive production helping lift hard rock singles like “Fire Woman” and “Sweet Soul Sister” into constant radio and video rotation.
The band ran through the majority of Sonic Temple at the Montreal show, alongside cuts from albums like Electric, and Love, including the 1985 smash hit “She Sells Sanctuary,” which closed out the main set with a huge crowd singalong.
Below you can check out photos from the night, including Montreal’s own Red Mass, courtesy of Eric Brisson. For all upcoming tour dates visit The Cult on the web.
