New Jersey punk favourites The Bouncing Souls are currently celebrating their 30th anniversary (!) as a band, a year-long celebration that includes the release of a hardcore retrospective book, the Crucial Moments EP, and an extensive tour, mostly with The Bronx in tow. That tour hit Montreal’s Foufounes Electriques for a sold-out show on August 9 with support from The Swingin’ Utters and The Bar Stool Preachers.

The entire night felt like one long extended party, with Bronx frontman Matt Caughthran spending almost their entire set singing in the midst of the crowd, to the non-stop stage-dives and massive sing-alongs throughout the Souls’ 75-minute set.
