Playstation’s THE LAST OF US is coming to HBO as a series from game developers Naughty Dog and the writer-director of CHERNOBYL

The wildly successful post-apocalyptic Playstation game The Last of Us is headed to HBO. The network has announced a series order for the new show, written by Craig Mazin (HBO’s Chernobyl), and Neil Druckmann (The Last of Us and Uncharted video game franchises).

“Craig and Neil are visionaries in a league of their own,” said Francesca Orsi, Executive Vice President, HBO Programming. “With them at the helm alongside the incomparable Carolyn Strauss, this series is sure to resonate with both die-hard fans of ‘The Last of Us’ games and newcomers to this genre-defining saga. We’re delighted to partner with Naughty Dog, Word Games, Sony and PlayStation to adapt this epic, powerfully immersive story.”

Playstation released The Last of Us II earlier this year, and it now leads the 2020 Game Awards nominees with 10 nominations.

The Last of Us will be available on HBO and to stream on HBO Max.
