Photos: Mastodon and Eagles of Death Metal teamed up for an unlikely bill at MTelus

Mastodon with Eagles of Death Metal and Russian Circles
MTelus
October 9, 2017

Mastodon is a band with a constantly evolving sound, and this current tour package does a great job of bringing in a number of different styles under one roof. From Mastodon’s soaring prog-metal, to the cave-man RN’R stomp of Eagles of Death Metal and the sweeping emotional scope of Russian Circles, this show was a great example of how a myriad of styles makes for a much more exciting night (keep that in mind next time you’re watching five death metal bands in a row).

Below you can check out photos from the Mastodon and Eagles of Death Metal sets courtesy of Jason Hughes (including Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds joining Eagles of Death Metal for their opener). For all upcoming tour dates visit mastodonrocks.com and eaglesofdeathmetal.com.
