Montreal summer is cancelled: Just for Laughs postponed, jazz fest and Francos not happening

Montreal festival season is taking the summer off.

Adding to the slew of coronavirus-related show cancelations and postponements, it was announced today that Just for Laughs will move from this July to the fall, while this summer’s jazz festival and Fracos will be canceled outright.

Just for Laughs will now run from September 29 to October 11, 2020. All tickets previously purchased will be honoured for the new dates. No refund information has been announced for the indoor jazz fest and Francos shows, but festival organizer Spectra announced that ticket information for those shows will be announced shortly.

These cancelations are a huge loss not only for Montreal’s cultural scene, but will also heavily impact local tourism this summer.

Stay safe and stay indoors!
