Madonna announces massive 40th-anniversary world tour (Montreal on August 19)

Madonna is celebrating her 40th decade as a recording artist in style. Set to coincide with the 40th-anniversary of her 1983 self-titled debut album, the Queen of Pop will embark on a massive world tour this year, including a stop at Montreal’s Bell Centre on August 19.

Dubbed The Celebration Tour, the tour is expected to be a career-spaning greatest hits tour with a large focus on her iconic ’80s run.

Madonna revealed the tour info via a video announcement this morning featuring Judd Apatow, Jack Black, Lil Wayne, Diplo, Bob the Drag Queen, Kate Berlant, Larry Owens, Meg Stalter, Eric Andre, and Amy Schumer.

“I am excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for,” Madonna says in the video announcement.

Tickets for the Madonna Celebration Tour are available as of Friday, January 20 at 10am via the official Madonna site.
