Following up their acclaimed 2017 album Voyager, Montreal’s Fleece is set to release three stand-alone singles this year. The first of those, “Love Song For the Haters,” was released in April, and they’ve followed that up with “So Long,” which is out now.
“So Long” has a dancey breeziness to it, with lyrics about breaking free of technology’s grasp that could easily stand-in for our collective COVID-19 dread (“so long world”).
For the month of June, Fleece is donating 100% of the proceeds of “So Long” to the Black Youth Helpline, the Black Coalition for Aids Prevention, and the Native Woman’s Association of Canada.
