Khruangbin
Theatre Fairmount
April 16, 2018
Texas psych trio Khruangbin definitely put their own stamp on what can often be a fairly traditional genre, adding in elements of Thai-inspired funk, surf rock and Middle Eastern music to their predominately instrumental soundscape. Touring in support of their excellent sophomore LP, Con Todo El Mundo (Dead Oceans), the band brought their laid-back sound to a sold-out crowd at Montreal’s Theatre Fairmount on Monday night.
Below you can check out photos from their set courtesy of Cecile Lopes. If you missed last night’s show, Khruangbin will be back at a much larger venue this fall, when they open for Leon Bridges at Place des Arts on September 28. Tickets for that are available here. For all upcoming tour dates, visit the Khruangbin Facebook page.
