Kevin Smith’s Mallrats Getting a Deluxe Blu-ray Special Edition From Arrow Video

Kevin Smith’s Mallrats is getting a deluxe Blu-ray release for its 25th anniversary.

Arrow Video has announced a limited edition release of Smith’s second film, featuring three cuts of the film, and a wealth of new and vintage features.

A box office dud when it hit theaters, 1995’s Mallrats quickly gained a cult following on home video and has since become one of Smith’s most beloved films. The movie revolves around Brodie (Jason Lee) and his best friend TS (Jeremy London), who attempt to ease the pain of being dumped by their girlfriends by spending the day in the mall. Their day gets increasingly crazier, including run-ins with Jay (Jason Mewes) and Silent Bob (Smith), their exes (Shannon Doherty and Joey Lauren Adams), the aggressive Shannon (a young Ben Affleck), some chocolate pretzels you wouldn’t want to eat, some life-advice from Stan Lee, and much more.

The Mallrats limited edition Blu-ray set is out via Arrow Video on September 29, 2020. Check out the extras and the box art below.

Kevin Smith has announced plans for a long-discussed Mallrats sequel and revealed that he was working on the screenplay while in Montreal this past February for a pair of screenings of the Jay and Silent Bob Reboot film. Snootchie bootchies!
