Just For Laughs’ New Wave of Standup Season 2 features Hisham Kelati, Allie Pearse, and more

Just for Laughs’ New Wave of Standup series is back with a second season this week, highlighting another selection of the country’s best new comedians.

Debuting on March 29 on CBC Gem, this season features performances recorded live from the Vancouver edition of the Just for Laughs festival, including Hisham Kelati (nominated for a 2022 Juno for Comedy Album of the Year), Allie Pearse (writer on Letterkenny), Hoodo Hersi (currently working on Ramy Youssef’s upcoming animated show), and many more.

Just for Laughs recently announced a slew of big names for the Montreal edition of the festival this July including Patton Oswalt, John Mulaney, Marc Maron, Chelsea Handler, and many more; check out the lineup here.
