Just for Laughs adds the cast of Veep, David Cross, Comedy Bang! Bang!, Hannibal Buress and much more

Just for Laughs has been slowly dripping out announcements for this summer’s edition, but here comes the deluge. Today the festival confirmed a number of major acts, including the cast of the beloved HBO show Veep (including Seinfeld’s Julia Louis-Dreyfus, cast members Tony Hale and Timothy Simons, and showrunner David Mandel), a gala performance headlined by David Cross, as well as solo shows by Lewis Black, Hannibal BuressJeremy Holtz and Brian Regan.

The solo shows and club series also feature a stacked lineup, including the incomparable Maria Bamford, Nikki GlaserRussell HowardIliza ShlesingerKathleen Madigan, and the Brit(ish) show, hosted by Mark Watson with Russell Kane, Joe Lycett, Sarah Millican, and more.

OFF-JFL, the most economical (and often most exciting) shows at the festival will feature Janeane Garofalo, Tom GreenAlan CarrMary Lynn RajskubCameron Esposito and Tommy Johnagin as hosts for Hosts with the Most, Nick Thune, Adam Hills, Steve Rannazzisi, Kurt Metzger, Big Jay Oakerson, Barry Crimmins, Louie Anderson, Emo Philips, Piff The Magic Dragon, Beth Stelling, Michelle Wolf, Todd Barry, Aparna Nancherla, Jermaine Fowler, Mark Normand, Matt Braunger, along with the return of fest-favourites This Is Not Happening hosted by Ari Shaffir, The Alternative Show hosted by Andy Kindler, Best of the Fest, Midnight Surprise and more.

Finally, Scott Aukerman will bring his Comedy Bang! Bang! improv podcast to JFL COMEDYPRO on July 29, while Lewis Black will pull double-fest duty by also presenting Living in Fictional Times: A Political Conversation with Lewis Black on July 28.
