Here’s What Montreal’s Festival au Volant (FAUV) Drive-In Comedy Festival Looked Like

The Festival au Volant (FAUV) comedy drive-in festival kicked off this past weekend with six shows over three days, including sold-out performances on Friday and Saturday night.

With an outdoor stage set up just by the Trudeau airport, each event featured a dedicated host along with a handful of Québécois comics. The Friday shows were hosted by Les Grandes Crues, the Saturday shows by Mehdi Bousaidan, and the Sunday shows by NEEV and Eddy King.

Below you can check out a photo gallery from the Friday show featuring Les Grandes Crues, Richardson Zephir, Simon Delisle, Étienne Dano, Anas Hassouna, and Jean-François Mercier. All photos by Eva Blue.

If you missed the action, FAUV returns this weekend with hosts Mado Lamotte on Friday, July 10, Jeremy Demay on Saturday, July 11, and an English comedy showcase on Sunday, July 12 with host Mike Paterson. Tickets start at $60 per 2-passenger car and are available here.

FAUV then extends its reach to Drummondville, Quebec, with host Mehdi Bousaidan on Friday, July 24, and Les Denis Drolet on Saturday, July 25.

In other local drive-in news, Just for Laughs is hosting its own festival at the new Royalmount Drive-In Theatre off of Decarie on July 24-25th, with The Relationship Show on Friday, July 24, featuring host Adam Growe (Cash Cab), alongside Graham Chittenden, Eman El-Husseini, Ali Hassan, and more, and Comedy Night in Canada on Saturday, July 25th with Adam Growe hosting a night with Jess Salomon, Frank Spadone, Eddy King, and more. Indoor shows may still be out of the question, but you can’t keep Festival City down!
