Fucked Up annouce Glass Boys release, including a wacky double-lp version

Fucked Up are never ones to turn down a good gimmick. They’ve released albums on 8-track and on reels, but the limited double-vinyl version of their upcoming LP might be their most intriguing project yet.

Glass Boys will be available on June 3rd via Matador Records (and through Arts & Crafts in Canada). Various bundle pre-orders for the album  are available now, including the aforementioned double-LP version, which includes a second LP featuring drummer Jonah Falco’s half-time drums. If that all seems a bit too technical, the label mentions that both versions of the record are meant to be played at the same time. Like, whoa.

If this is anything like the Neurosis / Tribes of Neurot Times of Grace LPs which were designed to be played simultaneously, then color me excited.

Fucked Up also unveiled the first single for Glass Boys earlier this week, titled “Paper The House”. You can check that out below.

Finally, the band will be on tour throughout the summer, including a date on Montreal’s Heavy MTL in August. All dates (so far) are below.
