If you can’t make the journey north for Rouyn-Noranda’s annual FME festival later this summer, FME is bringing the party directly to Montreal this weekend. The long-running Quebec festival will host a free outdoor music bash this weekend dubbed FME de l’Avent, featuring a number of acts slated to perform at this year’s festival in September.
Running from August 6-8 at Parc Riverain de Lachine by the picturesque Lachine Canal, the electric lineup includes nu-metal stans No Joy, rapper Maky Lavender, the R&B stylings of Janette King, late-night lounge lizard Kristian North, garage rock slinger Paul Jacobs, and much more.
While the shows are free, registration is required in order to comply with capacity laws. You can secure your tickets here.
The 19th edition of FME runs from September 2- 5 in Rouyn-Noranda, with a mix of socially distanced outdoor and indoor shows. Highlights for this year include 2020 Polaris-winner Backxwash, Cadence Weapon, US Girls, The OBGMs, Ariane Moffatt, Martha Wainwright, The Besnard Lakes, No Joy, and dozens more. Check out the full lineup and grab tickets here.
