Evan Rachel Wood accuses ex-fiancé Marilyn Manson of grooming, “horrific abuse”

Westworld actress Evan Rachel Wood has accused her ex-fiancé Marilyn Manson of grooming and “horrific abuse.”

Wood shared the allegations via an Instagram story today:

“The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson. He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years.

“I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission. I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives.”

“I stand with the many victims who will no longer be silent.”

Wood discussed a past abusive relationship during her testimony at the California Senate Public Safety Committee in April 2019 in support of the U.S. Sexual Assault Survivors Bill of Rights but left the abuser unnamed.

Wood became engaged to the shock rocker in January 2010, and their relationship ended in August of that year. They began dating earlier in the mid-2000s when Wood was 18 and Manson was 36.

Manson has not responded to Wood’s allegations.
