More than 30 years after the release of the comedy classic Coming to America, Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, and most of the last of the original film are back for Coming to America 2, out on March 5, 2021, via Amazon Studios.
Amazon has just released the first trailer for the film, which once again features Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall playing a number of different roles. The sequel also brings back James Earl Jones, Shari Headley, Vanessa Bell Calloway, John Amos, and Paul Bate, along with new additions including Tracy Morgan, Leslie Jones, and Teyana Taylor.
Directed by John Landis, the original 1988 film focused on King Akeem of Zamunda (Murphy) and his quest to find a bride in America. The sequel is directed by Craig Brewer, who recently directed Murphy in 2019’s Dolemite Is My Name.
