Legendary dub / reggae producer Lee “Scratch Perry” is on the podcast!
Lee “Scratch” Perry is one of the most important figures in popular music. The Jamaican producer is one of the pioneers of dub music, producing classic albums by the likes of Bob Marley & The Wailers, The Heptones, Junior Marvin, The Clash and many, many more.
In this quick conversation, recorded backstage at his recent Montreal show at 1:30 in the morning (!), we chat about how he manages to have so much energy at 80 years-old, his memories of working with Bob Marley, what he thinks of dubstep and much more.
