Bad Feeling Magazine Podcast # 23 with comedian Alonzo Bodden

Alonzo Bodden came to comedy in an entirely naturalistic way; while working as a mechanic at Lockheed Martin, he discovered he had a gift for cracking up a crowd, which eventually spurred him to take on stand-up. That leap of faith paid off when he won the grand prize in the third season of Last Comic Standing, and Bodden now performs his potent brand of observational and political humour around the world. Bodden released the Who’s Paying Attention? standup special for Showtime in 2011, and currently hosts a weekly news podcast under the same name.

We caught up with Bodden for a great conversation about his unlikely path to comedy, how he’s coping with the Bill Cosby revelations, and why he thinks the alternative comedy scene is “bullshit.” Bodden will be at Montreal’s Just for Laughs festival throughout July;  he hosts The Ethnic Show from July 8-19 at Club Soda, and will also be performing on a number of additional shows throughout the festival.
