Bad Feeling Magazine Podcast # 19 with Adam Lazzara (Taking Back Sunday)

Despite all the current buzz of an “emo revival,” Taking Back Sunday frontman Adam Lazzara doesn’t seem too keen on re-living his band’s past glories.

“I don’t want to be looked at, or become part of some kind of nostalgia act,” Lazzara  admits in our recent phone interview, and with good reason. Though the band recently celebrated the 10-year anniversary of their breakout debut LP, 2002’s Tell All Your Friends, by playing the album in its entirety on tour, Lazzara is more preoccupied with the present, including a deluxe re-issue of last year’s Happiness Is LP. The record is the band’s second with the reunited Tell All Your Friends-era lineup, following a years-long separation that saw members John Nolan and bassist Shaun Cooper splinter off to form Straylight Run. Happiness Is: The Complete Recordings, will come packaged as a 7″ box set featuring the entire original album, along with 3 studio B-sides and 3 acoustic versions of the album’s tracks, spread out over 8 singles. You can order the box set via Hopeless Records now.

Taking Back Sunday are currently on tour alongside The Menzingers and letlive, including a stop at Montreal’s Metropolis on March 14. We’ve got a pair of tickets to give away to the show – get the details on how to enter our giveaway over on our contest page.
