At the Gates, Converge, and Vallenfyre confirmed for 2015 Decibel Tour (Montreal on April 9)

The lineup for 2015’s Decibel Magazine Tour has been revealed, and it should bring a smile to the faces of even the dourest of extreme metal fans. At the Gates, Converge, and Vallenfyre will join forces next spring for what is sure to be one of the best metal bills of the year. Spearheaded by metal magazine Decibel, the tour will hit 15 cities across the US and Canada, including a stop at Metropolis in Montreal on April 9.

Swedish headliners At the Gates will be touring behind their recent At War With Reality LP, their first release in 19 years. Pioneers of the Swedish death metal sound, the band are a true force on-stage, and this tour will allow them to finally mix in some new tracks into their setlist.

Boston’s Converge hardly need an introduction, as the band have been pushing the boundaries of their metal / hardcore hybrid sound for nearly two decades now. With their latest release, All the Love We Leave Behind nearly three old at this point, we can likely expect a new song or two to sneak into the band’s set.

UK’s Vallenfyre are a death metal supergroup of sorts, featuring members of Paradise Lost, At the Gates, and My Dying Bride. This will be their first North American tour, and if their brutal new Splinters LP is any indication, they may prove to be the heaviest band on this bill.

The press release promises one more band will be announced in December. Any guesses?

The 2015 Decibel Magazine Tour with At the Gates, Converge, and Vallenfyre hits Montreal’s Metropolis on April 9. Tickets are $33 in advance, and can be purchased as of Friday, October 24th on evenko.caA VIP bundle, including a general admission ticket, skip the line pass, t-shirt, tour poster, digital tour issue of Decibel Magazine and more, is available via www.decibelmagazinetour.com.
