Montreal’s image+nation LGBT2SQ+ short film festival returns for its 4th edition with an emphasis on the struggle in Ukraine and local Quebec filmmakers.
Running from June 22-25, 2023, the IMAGE+NATION. FESTIVAL COURTS QUEER SHORT FILM FEST (I+N FCQSFF) online festival is a pay-what-you-can affair featuring 31 short films from 7 countries, including 11 films from Canada and 7 from Montreal/Quebec at large.
This year’s program puts the emphasis on the ongoing war in Ukraine with the program QUEER FIGHTERS / GUERRIER·ÈRE·S QUEERS / КВІР-БОРЦ, co-curated with Bohdan Zhuk, a programmer at the Kyiv International Film Festival.

I+N FCQSFF is a place for filmmakers and audiences to explore how queer perspectives and lived realities are brought to our screens.”
