La Chapelle’ Acoustic Sessions returns for a third edition this week. The intimate Montreal concert series features artists performing live from the La Chapelle theatre without the use of microphones or speakers, allowing for a natural and direct connection between the performers and the (socially distanced) crowd. After a year of livestream events, the series sounds like a welcome return to the world of live music as the industry cautiously begins opening back up after being shuttered for so long.
This year’s edition features Julie Doiron (formerly of Eric’s Trip) teaming up with Quebec’s Dany Placard as Julie/Dany, Michael Feuerstack (featuring Laurel Sprengelmeyer/Little Scream) and Erika Angell (of Thus Owls), and Helena Deland teaming up with Ouri.
Check out the schedule for this weekend’s shows below.
May 14 – Juile/Dany – 7:00 PM
May 15 – Michael Feuerstack (feat. Laurel Sprengelmeyer), Erika Angell – 7:00 PM
May 16 – Helena Deland et Ouri – 4:00 PM (sold out) / 2:00 PM (additional date)
La Chapelle’ Acoustic Sessions take place at La Chapelle theatre (3700 Saint-Dominique) from May 14-16. More information and tickets are available here.
