OSHEAGA, îLESONIQ, and LASSO festivals cancelled, to return in 2022
After yesterday’s reports that OSHGEAGA 2021 would be cancelled, today brings the official word that this summer’s planned îLESONIQ, and LASSO festivals are also off the table for this year. All three festivals are now scheduled for summer 2022.
“We’ve been working since last summer to try to deliver the full festival experience to fans” says Nick Farkas, Senior Vice President, Booking, Concerts and Events at evenko and founder of OSHEAGA, “we are keenly aware of how important live music is to our fans and our city, and how much everyone misses it! We want to be back there in the action too, but the truth is that it takes several months to line up the various elements to create a festival, and with current uncertainty, we don’t have that luxury.”
All passes for this year’s editions will be valid next year, and refunds are also available.
The new dates for the three festivals at Parc Jean-Drapeau are as follows:
OSHEAGA Music and Arts Festival: July 29 – 31, 2022
ÎLESONIQ: August 5 – 6 + ÎLESONIQ en Ville (August 4), 2022
LASSO: August 12 – 13 + LASSO in the City (August 11), 2022
Montreal won’t be completely deprived of its summer festivals this year, though they won’t technically take place in the summer months — the Montreal Jazz Fest and Francos festivals have moved from their summer schedule to September, with hopes of a hybrid virtual/outdoor lineup.
