Transformers 7, titled Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is set to begin filming in Montreal this July.
According to a report in Journal de Montreal, the film will shoot at Studios MELS and MTL Grandé from July – September 2021, before production moves to Peru. The latest entry in the Transformers franchise will be helmed by Creed II director Steven Caple Jr. The cast includes Anthony Ramos, Ron Perlman, Luna Lauren Velez, and Dominique Fishback. The budget for the film is reportedly $200 million.
The title Transformers: Rise of the Beasts indicates the inclusion of the animalistic Maximals and Predacons, descendants of the Autobots and Decepticons. The Beast Wars CGI-animation show (also made in Canada!) aired from 1996-1999.
