Horror legend John Carpenter (Halloween, They Live, Escape From New York) held an online masterclass and received a Lifetime Achievement Award yesterday during a live presentation at the digital edition of this year’s Fantasia film festival, and the entire event is now available to stream in full.
The hour-long piece features an extensive interview with Carpenter by Fantasia’s Tony Timpone, along with a Q&A made up of fan-submitted questions.
In Carpenter’s typically blunt fashion, he admits that most horror films are terrible, expresses his admiration for video games, and officially confirms his participation in the upcoming version of The Thing from Blumhouse Studios.
