Watch Henry Rollins Gleefully Unbox the Massive New Stooges ‘Fun House’ Vinyl Box Set

Henry Rollins is best known as the glowering frontman of Black Flag and The Rollins Band, but he is also an incredibly enthusiastic music fan and collector, as anyone who has listened to his long-running KCRW radio show can attest to. Rollins recently contributed liner notes to the massive new 15-LP Stooges 50th-anniversary Fun House vinyl box set from Rhino Records, and just posted an unboxing video where he gleefully goes through the contents of the hefty package.

The video shows Rollins (from his kitchen) eagerly going through the set for the first time, which features a 45 rpm remastered version of The Stooges’ 1970 Funhouse sophomore album spread over two LPs, the complete studio outtakes, a live album, a pair of seven inches, a deluxe booklet with Rollins’ liner notes, and much more.

The Stooges Fun House box set includes:

  • 15 X 180-gram Black Vinyl LPs
    • 45 RPM Version Of The Album On 2-LP With 4th Side Etching
    • The Complete Fun House Sessions
    • Have Some Fun: Live At Ungano’s
  • 2 Replica Black 7” Vinyl Singles
    • “Down On The Street” (Mono Single Edit)/ “I Feel Alright” (Mono Single Edit) [French Picture Sleeve]
