Quebec approves indoor gatherings of up to 50 people (movie theatres included)
After months of confinement, Quebec public health director Horacio Arruda has announced that indoor gatherings of up to 50 people will be allowed starting on June 22nd.
For seated environments, a distance of 1.5 metres between people will need to be respected. For venues where people are free to move about, the distance must be 2 metres.
The news comes after days of declining cases of COVID-19 throughout the province.
Christopher Nolan’s Tenet was expected to be the first movie playing when theatres begin opening this summer, but that distinction now falls to the upcoming Selena Gomez film, The Broken Hearts Gallery, which is slated to open in June.
Stay tuned to see what theatres will re-open later this month (and what they will be screening).
