Dropkick Murphys are set to perform a full-band electric live stream set from the grounds of an empty Fenway Park in Boston, with Bruce Springsteen along for an assist.
“Streaming Outta Fenway” goes down on Friday, May 29 at 6:00 pm EST. The free show will air on Dropkick Murphys’ Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Twitch pages, and via Dkmstream.com.
Bruce Springsteen will virtually join the band for a special “double play” featuring a Dropkick Murphys and Springsteen song.
There will be no fans present, and the band members are each promising to perform on the bases to ensure maximum social distancing.
Dropkick Murphys are no strangers to livestreaming; their annual Saint Patrick’s Day show was supposed to go down in Boston just as the U.S. lockdown for COVID-19 hit, so the band decided to stream a full 2-hour show online for fans. Check out the complete set below.
Dropkick Murphys were scheduled to be out on the From Boston to Berkley II tour with Rancid this month; those dates have been cancelled due to the pandemic, and are expected to be rescheduled for 2021. In the meantime, grab a pint of Guinness and settle in for the online show!
