If the neverending onslaught of COVID-19 news hasn’t got you down, Pearl Jam and Greta Thunberg are here to warn of impending climate change disasters in the new video for “Retrograde,” the latest single off Pearl Jam’s recent Gigaton album.
The animated video shows a man gazing into a crystal ball at a fortune teller’s shop and witnessing ecological disasters unfolding, including New York City being swept up by the sea, before (spoiler) the fortune teller is revealed to be none other than climate change activist Greta Thunberg. The video was directed by Josh Wakely (Beat Bugs, Motown Magic).
Check out the video below. Pearl Jam cancelled their Gigaton tour dates (including a run of Canadian shows) due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Hopefully, they can make those up when touring is deemed safe again!
