Quarantine insanity: watch The Offspring covering Tiger King’s “Joe Exotic”
Look, we’re all dealing with this ongoing pandemic nightmare in our own ways. Some of us are taking up new hobbies while learning to adapt to this new insane world, and The Offspring have spent this precious time learning a cover of now-infamous Netflix documentary Tiger King subject Joe Exotic’s “Here Kitty Kitty,” which they’ve shared in a new video.
Decked out in masks and with visual evidence that they are six feet apart from each other, the band belt out a faithful version of the country-rocker (actually performed by Clinton Johnson Band).
Here’s what The Offspring had to say about the video:
Hey, Guys! Like many of you, we are going a little stir crazy these days and we wanted to do something fun to put a smile on our faces, and hopefully on some of yours too. This song, Here Kitty Kitty, was originally by the Clinton Johnson band, and *not* by anyone in that recent documentary we all got caught up in.
The Offspring wives were group texting recently, and while they all agreed that they truly love their husbands, there are times when they’ve absolutely felt like feeding us to the tigers. In that spirit, we hope you enjoy this random song & video.
Check out the video below, along with Joe Exotic’s epic original.
We last caught The Offspring with Sum 41 at a jam-packed Place Bell this past November. Check out our review and photos from the show below.
