Justin Shoulder’s post-apocalyptic Carrion: Never Quite Human, Only Ever Frankenstein solo show heads to Montreal
Australian multidisciplinary artist Justin Shoulder questions the very nature of humanity in Carrion: Never Quite Human, Only Ever Frankenstein, a solo mixture of dance, visual arts and physical performance.
Carrion is a creature able to shape-shift into various forms and speak multiple languages, that serves to “animate a series of ancestral creatures born from queer diasporic histories and imagined genealogies.”
Carrion: Never Quite Human, Only Ever Frankenstein is set to make its North American premiere at Montreal’s Monument-National (1182 St Laurent blvd) as part of MAI (Montréal, arts interculturels). The show debuts on October 30th at 8:00 pm, and runs through November 2. Tickets are available here.
