The Sheepdogs / The Damn Truth
MTelus
January 25, 2019
While the sustainability of rock n’ roll might be fodder for an unlimited amount of music press think pieces, the notion that classic rock n’ roll is in any jeopardy would have been news to the 2,000-plus fans who packed into a sold-out MTelus on Friday night for this killer double bill.
Saskatoon The Sheepdogs and Montreal’s own The Damn Truth brought their co-headlining tour to Montreal and were each greeted like headliners, cementing years of hard work for two bands that have crisscrossed the country numerous times over the years.
Below you can check out photos from both sets courtesy of Eric Brisson.
The Damn Truth recently unveiled a heartbreaking video for their track “Devilish Folk,” which includes footage and interviews with Montreal’s homeless squeegee kids, in an effort to encourage donations to Dans La Rue, the long-running institution that provides free meals to Montreal’s homeless community. Check out the video below, and head here to make a donation.
