Halifax rapper Classified wrapped up his Canadian Classic Tour at Montreal’s Corona Theatre on Saturday night alongside Maestro Fresh Wes and Choclair, a stacked lineup that represented three distinct eras of Canadian hip hop.

Touring in support of his 16th (!) album, Tomorrow Could Be The Day Things Change, Classified presided over a show that featured 80’s hip hop icon Maestro Fresh Wes breathlessly performing classic cuts like “Let Your Backbone Slide,” while Choclair represented the glory days of late 90’s hip hop with tracks like “Let’s Ride.” If you grew up watching Much Music at anytime in the last 30 years this show had something for you.

For his part, Classified took the stage to a hyped-up crowd alongside a supremely talent keyboardist and background singer, along with his DJ and backing rapper, delivering a set that touched on all aspects of his deep discography, including his early smash “Welcome to the Maritimes,” that had all the Maritimers in the crowd loudly singing along.

Below you can check out photos from the night, including Quentin Condo and Twondon, two contest winners who opened the show, courtesy of Eric Brisson. For more info and all upcoming tour dates visit Classified on the web.
