Weezer announces The Black Album, 2019 tour with Pixies (Bell Centre on March 13)

After months of teasing, Weezer has finally announced The Black Album, and debuted its first single “Can’t Knock the Hustle,” along with a video starring Pete Wentz. Rivers and co. have also announced a new series of co-headlining dates with Pixies, including a show at Montreal’s Bell Centre on March 13, 2019.

Check out all of the tour dates below, along with the video for “Can’t Knock the Hustle.” Tickets for all dates go on-sale October 19 at 10:00 am. Visit the official Weezer site for pre-sale info.

In other Weezer news, their surprising hit cover of Toto’s “Africa” is getting the vinyl treatment for Black Friday Record Store Day, on a 10″ picture disc (shaped like Africa of course). More info on the limited release here.

We caught the Pixies’ epic headlining tour in Montreal last year — you can read our full review here. We also spoke with founding guitarist Joey Santiago back in 2015 about the band’s longevity, his love of standup comedy and much more — read the full interview here. We last caught up with Weezer at Montebello’s Rockfest this past summer — check out photos from the festival here.
